GALATEA RESURRECTS' 2016 POETRY RECOMMENDATIONS

THE LIST TO END ALL LISTS. Galatea's, that is. This list was an experiment for me, and affirms I need not ever do it again. Only one of the books on this list was mentioned more than once by Galatea's diverse group of reviewers, which means what we all know: poetry is subjective and best-ofs don't make sense. (That's why I call this list recommended but not best-ofs.) Nonetheless, this doesn't take away from the praise deserved by the books for having garnered one of our poet-critics' compliments. So I present to you Galatea's first and last list of recommendations. I've read most of these books and can affirm that it's worth checking out this reading list--you are invited to peruse HERE.
