HAY(NA)KU'S 19 POETS FOR "WORDS WITH A VIEW" EXHIBIT

There are several layers to the hay(na)lku's quince celebration this year, including an anthology, exhibits, and a Sept. 8 readings/performance/eating/book launch. More info at HERE

Meanwhile, I'd like to share the poets whose hay(na)ku will be exhibited this summer at SFPL's 3rd Floor, Kresge Foundation International Center. Their poems will comprise the "Words With A View" exhibit, so named as their poems will look over the views in an internal rotunda. My gratitude to these poets for their interest in the hay(na)ku (choices were made with a bias for poets located in the Bay Area for obvious reasons):

William Allegrezza
Gabriela Pascual Bautista
Tom Beckett
Charles Bernstein
Paul Cassinetto
Melinda Luisa De Jesus
Carol Dorf
Peg Duthie
Vince Gotera
Crag Hill
Kathleen A. Lawrence
Lani T. Montreal
Cesar Polvorosa, Jr.
Zvi A. Sesling
S. Shaw
Eileen R. Tabios
Glynda “G.T.” Velasco
Jean Vengua
Mark Young

As ever, I'm grateful to Librarian Abraham Ignacio (among others) for facilitating this exhibit! Maraming Salamat!

Here's a sort of view of the rotunda. Here you can see pillars where poems will be exhibited...
